El Rincón de Corpi: La Perla Negra, 1/72 de Zevzda (1)

Nuevo proyecto que le tenía muchas ganas de empezar, el barco de la película, Piratas del Caribe. Un buen modelo con 895 piezas a escala 1/72...

Me imagino que todos sabeís en que pelicula sale, pero por si acaso alguno no lo sabe es el barco de los Piratas del Caribe con su conocido capitan Jack Sparrow.

Decir que el original barco utilizado en las cuatro primeras pelis de la saga se ha hundido y por ello más interes tiene para mi el realizarlo.

Un poco de la historia del original barco...

La embarcación, cuyo verdadero nombre es “The Brig Unicorn” (el bergantín Unicornio), también apareció en la adaptación televisiva de la novela de Alex Hailey “Roots” (Raíces) como el “Lord Ligonier”, el barco de esclavos en el que viajó Kunta Kinte a América.

La embarcación fue diseñada por Helge Johansson, que la bautizó “Lyra”. En 1971 la compró el exmilitar y fotógrafo de Unicef Jacques Thiry, quien la bautizó con su nombre actual y dos años después hizo que cruzara por primera vez el Atlántico, desde el archipiélago español de las Canarias hasta Barbados.

El barco de la conocida saga hollywoodiense “Piratas del Caribe” yace bajo las aguas de ese mar precisamente, después de hundirse por razones que aún se desconocen mientras navegaba de madrugada entre dos islas caribeñas.

Las causas del siniestro aún no están claras. Lo importante es que se pudo rescatar a la tripulación sana y salva”, explicó un portavoz de la Guardia Costera de San Vicente y las Granadinas, el archipiélago caribeño al que se dirigía este navío construido en 1948 en el momento de su hundimiento.

Se teme que la embarcación del excéntrico capitán Jack Sparrow, personaje interpretado por Johnny Depp en la saga de “Piratas del Caribe”, no sea recuperable, ya que las aguas donde se encuentra son muy profundas y ya casi tenía siete décadas de antigüedad.

Precisamente, en el momento de su hundimiento el capitán barbadiense Sam Alleyne, acompañado de una tripulación de nueve personas, trasladaba el barco desde Santa Lucía, donde estaba atracado en un muelle y alojaba en su interior un bar y un restaurante muy populares entre los turistas, a un astillero de las vecinas San Vicente y las Granadinas para que fuera reparado.

La Guardia Costera de San Vicente y las Granadinas rescató a toda la tripulación, que se refugió en un bote salvavidas, tras verse incapaces de evitar el rápido hundimiento del barco, que había sido construido en Finlandia en 1948 y tenía bandera de Santa Lucía.

I guess you all know that movie comes out, but just in case anyone does not know is the ship of Pirates of the Caribbean with its famous Captain Jack Sparrow.

Mejoras...

De momento las tres mejoras que tengo en mente son las de forrar todo el barco excepto palos y mástiles con tracas de madera adhesivas (mismo formato que la cubierta del Varyag) de tres medidas diferentes de anchura que son 2, 2,2 y 3 mm. Posteriormente lo pintaré con una mezcla de tinte de nogal y negra para la zona del casco y de tiente de nogal al agua para la cubierta.

Otra mejora es colocar en el interior de camarote del capitán y los faroles exteriores (3 uds) luz ambiental de color ámbar (pintándolas un poco para darle más efecto de vela) utilizando para ellos leds de reducido tamaño (1mm de ancho). Además se usará un circuito integrado para darle cadencia a la luz y se intente recrear la luminosidad de una vela.

Y la última mejora será forrar las velas con papel de seda o de pañuelo de papel para dar más sensación de tela. En el caso del papel seda lo hice en la Pibber con un resultado bastante bueno.

Improvements ...

Currently the three improvements that I have in mind are to cover all the boat except sticks and poles with wood adhesive strakes (same format as the cover Varyag) three different measures of width that are 2, 2.2 and 3 mm . De momento encajes fenomenales y eso que hay gente que se queja de Zvezda, yo de momento dos barcos de esta casa y cojonudos!!. Ya he pegado el casco y forrado un lado con tracas de 2,2 mm, pintado con 2 capas de mezcla de tinte al agua de color nogal y unas gotas de tinte negro de la casa Vallejo. También he comenzado a forrar la cubierta con tracas de 3 mm y luego dos capas de tinte al agua de color nogal. No esta pegada la cubierta con el casco ya que está pendiente de pasar el tema de iluminación por el camarote en popa tanto del propio camarote como de los tres faroles que hay en cubierta de popa. Mi pensamiento para los leds en el camarote es hacer una mesa y en la base colocar los dos leds, encima crearé unas velas para que la luz de los leds salga para arriba dejando la parte final transparente para que de iluminación a todo el camarote. Como ya habréis intuido, voy a "amueblar" todo el camarote con una mesa, sillas, cama y alguna cosilla mas.

Bueno no me enrollo más y aquí os dejos las fotos de lo que llevo hasta ahora. Pensar que las fotos se han hecho con flash, eso quiere decir que los colores salen más "blancos" de lo que realmente son, es decir que el casco no es tan marrón como se ve aquí, si no que tira a más negro. Mañana de día os sacaré fotos con luz natural para ver la diferencia.
